This game looks like it would be awesome…now make it for PC too Microsoft!!!!
SHEESH Microsoft!!!! Old school PC gamer just trying to be heard here! Shout out if you agree! Xboxer’s need not respond, I already know your enjoying the game. And NO, I don’t want a freggin Xbox! lol
So until this game is made available for ALL platforms, I think it stinks. Or more like, Microsoft stinks. The one star is for them for not making this game available on a broader range of gaming platforms.

This is one of the worst game’s ever made. Boring gameplay, a nonsensical premise, boring gameplay, and that’s pretty much all this game consist of. This is how to NOT make a videogame. This game was created by SEGA, one of the worst developers in gaming history.
Amazon removed my review for no reason at all. CLEARY, they can’t accept the truth that this game sucks. It wouldn’t take an act of congress for me to expose Amazon as the hypocritical sycophantic bias website they are — REMOVE THIS ONE MORE TIME, I DARE YOU.. I DOUBLE DARE YOU!

This game was a disappointment. Yes, the graphics are very well done. Yes, the atmospherics are as spooky and creepy as anyone could ask for. But the actual PLAY is linear, uninspired, limited, repetitive, boring, Boring, BORING!!! Not to mention the ending is a complete POS. Not to spoil, but you don’t even get to fight the main adversary at the end – it’s a video after you defeat a really, really easy obstacle. I want to meet the designers of this game and slap them for this RIP OFF.

This game is terrible. The game play was completely unoriginal, as was the added storytelling through found objects. Literally every part of this game except the weather system was ripped from other games; namely Alone in the Dark, Silent Hill, Obscure and surprisingly Luigi’s Mansion. The first few hours, the atmosphere was great – chilling and gripping…but after those first few hours it loses all ability to scare you.
The story was OK, nothing special, felt like a newer Stephen King novel, one of the ones famous for sucking because he just pumped it out for extra cash. Radio and television storytelling was basically hit or miss. Having you collect scattered thermoses made absolutely no sense AT ALL. The graphics were nice, but overwhelmingly the combat system is what ruins the game; it is utterly repetitive. Maybe if you’re a Stephen King fan you’d want to rent this but I would not recommend buying it; personally as soon as I finished it I took it back to the store and traded it in.

If you’ve played any of the original Silent Hill games (except The Room) then you’ve played Alan Wake already…the plot is too similar; some one tries to get away from the city in order to recharge themeselves and get back to the everday rat race. Something happens when they get there and now they spend time in a nightmarish world with weird people fighting off supernatural forces that may be real or in your head…I’m not gonna ruin the ending for you. If you’ve played Silent Hill or a fan of it, then Alan Wake will do if for you…
