12pc Plush 3.5″ Animal Finger Puppets

As far back as I can remember puppets have captured my imagination. What child of the 70’s didn’t adore the puppets, or Muppets rather, of Sesame Street, the cast of lovable lunatics from Mister Rodger’s Neighborhood, or the ornery rag-tag gang of characters from the short-lived PBS show The Peach Squirt Caravan? Sadly though, finger puppets weren’t and still aren’t anywhere to be found on television or the Silver Screen. However, my late uncle Sidney made sure my late sisters and I were exposed to the art of finger puppetry. Sid would put on these hilarious little productions starring a Kola bear named Dusty and, in honor of his late first wife Janice, Sheila the Schizophrenic Lion. Uncle Sid had us kids howling every time Sheila, in a schizophrenia-induced rage, started screaming at a pepper shaker thinking it was a demon or goblin hungry for her flesh or something. Rodney the Passive-Aggressive elephant and Elijah the Agoraphobic Bunny were just a couple more of the characters Uncle Sidney delighted us with. I’m so glad I found this fantastic set of 12 plush animal finger puppets on Amazon. I can’t wait to carry on Sid’s tradition once I get some kids of my own or marry a woman that has children from a previous marriage.
